Our Story

A Legacy of Indian Hospitality

For over two decades, The Olive Table has been a quiet landmark in Connaught Place — a place where the soul of Indian cooking is treated with the reverence it deserves.

The Restaurant Story

From a Family Kitchen to Delhi's Dining Room

The Olive Table began in 1999 with a simple belief — that the recipes passed down through generations of Indian home kitchens deserved a stage as beautiful as the food itself.

Our founder, Chef Vikram Rathore, opened the first doors on Culinary Street with a hand-painted menu of twelve dishes and a single clay tandoor brought from Jaipur. Today, that tandoor still burns, and those twelve dishes remain — joined by a carefully curated selection from across the subcontinent.

Every spice is roasted and ground in-house. Every gravy is built from scratch. And every guest is welcomed as family — the way Indian hospitality has always intended.

Our Mission

To honour the depth and diversity of Indian cuisine by preparing every dish with authentic technique, the finest ingredients and an unwavering respect for tradition — served in an atmosphere of genuine warmth.

Our Vision

To be recognised as India's most beloved fine-dining table — a destination where the country's culinary heritage is celebrated, preserved and shared with the world, one plate at a time.
